SpinBottle Games GmbH was established on May 27th, 2008 with its base in Essen, Germany. The company will focus on the development and marketing of entertainment software for the mass market and for specific target groups.

Its services range from complete in-house productions to contract-based individual projects, which are created specifically for the needs of the client.

In addition to development, its other area of focus will be the casual games market (online/downloads). SpinBottl’s Management can rely on years of competence and a well-established sales network, which has already developed and sold several titles on the international Top 10.

These strengths should continue to be expanded - leading to future in-house developments, as well as being offered as a service to external clients and partners.

Lukas John
Managing Director

Lukas John, married and a father of three, has been active within the field for nine years. Together with two partners, he founded Snowstep Development in 2003.

As both Developer and General Manager of Snowstep Development, he produced six internationally successful casual games.

He previously gained experience working as Product Manager and Lead Programmer of TinCat Networking Systems, which enabled client-server applications for gaming that were later used in numerous productions, including award-winning games such as “The Settlers of Catan” and “Sacred”. In addition, he was responsible as Developer for numerous award-winning games (including several board-game adaptations such as The Settlers of Catan card game), as well as holding the title of Project Manager at phenomedia publishing GmbH.

Operative Policy

Projects selected for mass market production will primarily be chosen based on their coherence with company goals and the degree to which the team members can identify with the project.

The company’s main objective is the successful development of entertainment software. This can only be made possible with a highly motivated team of employees. Consequently, our employees and our partners are our capital and our most valuable resource. Important decisions to be made during a project will be discussed within the team and the best possible solution will be mutually decided upon.

We demand a high degree of personal responsibility from our employees, but also purposefully foster their strengths.

Vision

The company should demonstrate healthy growth over a long-term period, expanding and therefore making it possible to develop several titles at once. Furthermore, technological expansion with connection to gaming consoles and new platforms such as the iPhone/iPod is envisioned. The company is also open to other business models.

Several long-term, strategic partnerships and cooperative agreements have been planned, creating a win-win effect for both partners.
